Philadelphia Folk Festival
August 17-19, 2007
Like the Newport Folk Festival, the Philadelphia Folk Festival was born at the beginning of the Folk Revival of the late ’50s and early ’60s. Every year the festival’s programmers strive to present artists who represent some of the best music in their particular folk niche: be it singer-songwriter, world beat, blues, or alt.country.
